I’m negligent again! I’m starting up a new potential money-making venture, so that in addition to chasing my toddler and making healthy meals for the family, and all the cleaning involved with those missions, I’ve made little time for the blog! Any way, I want to share this EASY, AFFORDABLE, HEALTHY, deodorant recipe!
I love my WellnessMama!! You can find this and many other useful recipes on her website, this is just one variation, the easiest I think!
- 1/4 C Baking Soda
- 1/4 C Corn Starch
- 6 TBS Coconut Oil
- OPTIONAL – essential oils for fragrance. I chose cinnamon oil because my hubs told me cinnamon can be attractive to men. I was trying to see he liked it 😉
Blend the dry mix, I did this directly in a 16 oz. decorative canning jar. Add the coconut oil and blend with a fork until smooth. Add your essential oils if using, about 20 drops. Mix. The deodorant will solidify on its own in a few hours. It will become like a body butter. Apply to underarm as you would a body butter! You can scoop mixture before it sets, into a used deodorant stick.
I LOVE this deodorant. It really does last, at least 24 hours. And for once, a formula that really doesn’t leave any streaks!! Plus, I’m at a better chance for avoiding alzheimers and breast cancer, yay!
